Small Update ;)

I thought it was time to give a little update!

Jacob and I have been married for a whole month!! YAY! I cant believe its been that long, so much has happened since then!

Hayden started school on Monday and he is absolutely loving it. We had a parent meeting with the teacher and all the parents on Monday after school, and I really like her. I wasn't crazy about Hayden's teacher last year, she just wasn't excited to be there. She was a good teacher, but Hayden needs a certain spunk to get him through the day, and as a First Grader, I can't blame him! He has come home happy every day this week and I cannot be happier for him. He really struggled with Kindergarten, and I distinctly remember crying in the bathroom at school at some point in the first couple of weeks because I just didn't know what to do. BUT it doesnt look like that will happen this year! YAY!!

I started school last Monday, and its going ok. I'm not really excited about the material in any of my classes, but I am enjoying my Professional Responsibility class. My professor is a Judge here in Texas, a FEDERAL DISTRICT JUDGE!! WOOHOO! Go Wesleyan! He is hilarious, he has a lot of stories and a great attitude. He is the kind of guy you want to be friends with, hell or at least keep as a contact. Having the in with a federal judge never hurt anybody (well if they were a dirty judge it could hurt in the long run, but we're talking totally legal here!) Otherwise, I'm just really tired. I'm so tired that my bones hurt. I haven't been this tired in a really long time. I am getting about 5 1/2 to 6-ish hours of sleep a night, and I'm on go pretty much from the time my feet hit the floor to the time I get back in bed, so it's completely understandable, it just SUCKS! Coffee seems to be making it worse and not helping...it just gives me a small rush then the sugar makes me tired. I definitely crash a lot worse than I used to, but not to fear I'll bring back up my tolerance!! haha I have no choice!

In bigger news, my brother is living with me for a little while. He and his fiance broke up and so he basically has a house he could stay in, but I can't blame him for not wanting to. I'm glad he's here, I know he needs us right now. Each day he gets a little better, you know how it goes, one foot infront of the other and eventually you'll get where you're going. He's moving..right now its just teeny weeeny baby steps!

I think that is about it! College football starts this weekend and I can't wait!! WAR EAGLE!!!!! This is one of my FAV Auburn pictures. Its Jordan-Hare Stadium at sunset...God sure does love him some AU football doesn't he!

I'm just going to say Emily made me do it :)

So, google you're name and "needs"..see what comes up, pick the first 10 (of if you're Emily..or me..pick the first 10 that are the least lame) and then post whether you need it or not. OK here goes nothing

1. Katelin needs to continue on the double dose of Tylenol and Motrin, and we need to make sure she stays hydrated and rested...no kidding!! hopefully one of those is the PM version so I can get some damn sleep..oh and does that come with a Dr's note?

2. Katelin needs to spend a bit more time with you!..if that is about Jacob or Hayden, yes, I do

3. Katelin needs school clothes...yes..yes i do

4. Katelin needs to join AA...haha NO I DONT..that means I'm a quitter..JK!

5. Katelin needs to learn how to play some volleyball cause she was stinkin up that mud..what?? uh no.

6. Katelin needs to write....needs inspiration...I'm going with a big NO, I need to READ not write

7. Katelin needs a doctor..no not yet..not unless he's going to do my work for me :)
and for that I need a lawyer DUH

8. Katelin needs sony-vegas...whut?

9 and 10 do not exist. Write my parents and complain to them about the spelling of my name and its lack of google hits! Otherwise, SUCK IT! Less work for me! :) haha..

I'll update some tomorrow..time for sleep!!
But in keeping with current tradition, I thought I'd post a picture....

Its a picture of a duck that walked in front of our car in Austin. Its just as random as my last few posts :)

You're dealing with an international SUPERSTAR

So the fun way to get through law school is to make up songs in other languages...although it is quite questionable. Trust me. The next time you're down..make up a completely stupid song from Spanish, German, French 101. I'm telling you, there is nothing left to do but laugh. Even if you dont do it "correctly", picture yourself in front of a huge screaming crowd of "internationals" (c'mon you're an international superstar, of course they are from AROUND THE WORLD) and there you are singing your fantastic song. My favorite is in German. Wo bist meine shue? Under der Hund!! (where is my shoe, under the dog!) I know its incorrect in some form, but thats what makes it fun!! So I will leave you with my number one hit on the radio: Donde esta mi pantalones?

(oh and by the way...i did institute 10 minutes per day ridiculous dancing during the last 2 weeks of wedding planning...so apparently making a fool of myself is the way to beat stress without it beating me!)

My dog needs to eat my homework :)

School is in session!! booooooooooooo Meh, it isnt toooo bad. The big bonus is that I have gotten to see a bunch of people I didn't get to see over the summer! HI EMILY! It has been so nice to see all the familiar faces! I have also officially made an ass out of myself in the first week. In pure Katelin style too!! So I got on the elevator, which I swear was going "up" but apparently I was sorely mistaken because when I got out at what I thought was the 2nd floor, was the Law Library, also known as GROUND LEVEL!! So I decided ah, what the hell, I will just get back on, then I realize IM NOT ALONE! People actually witnessed my idiocy. Not just people mind you a couple of 1Ls!!!! So of course I addressed the situation, and they laughed, but I still felt like an idiot!! haha. But at least I can laugh about it!!! Classes havent been awful, just boring, most of them. Copyrights is especially sleep inducing. Not only is my teacher possibly a drone sent to this school by an evil alien king who wants to take over the world, one law school at a time, one crap-tacular class at a time by boring each and every student into mind-numbing stupor so he can then steal their "grey matter", the material doesnt do anything for me either. Oh well. I needed a class, it was open, choices were slim..so here I am!! Anyway...not much to blog about...not that I'm ready to put out in the world..so you'll just have to wait!

I thought this time I would treat you to a picture of my BEAUTIFUL pupper dog!

Baby Fever :)

So, why is it that before we got married I wasn't even sure I wanted kids, and now that we've been married for a whopping 2 weeks I have baby on the brain? I mean, like as soon as I get out of school, I want to have a baby, a house, a car, etc. Really?? Why all at the same time? Oh thats right, I want to put myself in severe debt, its a real dream of mine :) hahaha. Well hopefully it will go: house, car, baby somewhere in there. I dont really care which way it goes..but I do know that it's coming as a total shock to me!! I knew at some point Jacob would end up talking me into having a baby, but I think I had almost convinced him to not have a kid and just get sports cars and have dogs. :) Well, I guess things change!!! And I've been thinking about what I want to do when I graduate..but that's a whole 'nother post. :)

4 years and counting :)

So today is mine and Jacob's 4 year anniversary. I know we're married now, and probably wont count our dating anniversary much longer..but right now we do :). I can't believe its been 4 years. Time really flew by. I look back at how long we were together when we did this, or how long were we together when we did that...its so funny! We were together for 2 and a half years or so when we got engaged, and then shortly after that moved in together. We celebrated our 3 year anniversary here in Texas and then planned a wedding!! (er, well we were together for like 3 and a half years when we started planning lol) Everyone has grown up!! I was only a teenager when we started dating, 19!! and Jacob was 21! We didn't even have Bailey yet..we hadn't even been together a year when we got her!! And the best part is that Hayden was only 2!!! OMG!! Jacob changed dirty diapers, helped potty train, sent him to pre-school, kindergarten, and now 1st grade!! Its been a wild ride sometimes, and I can't believe we ended up out here in Fort Worth, but I wouldn't trade what we have for anything. We truly love each other, and there is not hiding that! I can't believe those two kids who met 4 years ago ended up getting married!!! Anyway...here's to many many more anniversaries!! :)

Pictures

Mr. and Mrs. White!

So..I'm married. haha. As if everyone on the planet didnt know that little gem by now!

It was an amazing day, spent with even more amazing people. All the time and energy I spent with Kristin, and god knows who else, planning that bad boy totally paid off!

I dont have any pro pictures yet, but my facebook can supply many a sneak pre-view. But just for you Emily...I'm going to try and figure out how to do a slideshow or something for the next post! Even though I'm sure you'll be getting a look at Terry's handiwork before I will...and thats perfectly okay with me!! :)

Anyway...as for the other goings on in my life...there arent a whole hell of a lot. The honeymoon was great...just not quite long enough. I'm ready for another vacation and we haven't even been back a week! School starts soon..and I'm on the fence. I am looking forward to getting it over with, but I've also enjoyed my mostly acne, stress, and extra flab free summer. Minus the wedding stuff, that was virtually stress free until the last week, this summer has been a godsend of sleeping till 11 and spending quality time with family and friends. I'm just not ready to turn into that bitter beer faced law student quite yet!!

Oh and I need to come up with a better answer when someone asks me if I like school. This is how it usually goes.

me: "yeah, I'm in law school"
them: "OH! That's fantastic, do you like it?"
me: "No. It blows. I hate it."

My family hasn't been overly thrilled with the "No, I hate school." response...so I need to come up with a witty response that still has the "I love law school as much as I love eating sand" effect.
Suggestions???

OK I'm done for tonight...time to go to sleep ...
